Nicky discovered her yoga practice after a knee injury pulled her away from her Brazilian Jujitsu competitions. She soon realized that there was more to yoga than just the physical relief she had been seeking; the mind/body connection kept her coming back. Her training in jujitsu seamlessly complimented her yoga practice, as both require an acute awareness of the physical body and focus of the mind to be expressed fully. Yoga began to influence every aspect of her life, on and off the jujitsu mats, cementing an intuitive knowledge of the synergistic relationship between physical and mental health. Nicky shares these yoga gifts that she has received through her teaching. She is an incredible athlete whose laid back personality welcomes all to feel comfortable. She is encouraging, inspiring and fun to be with.
Nicky completed her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training with Katya Sidelnik of Inner Jasmine, co-facilitated by Liz Smith, in February 2017.
